lastcomicstandinglogoI got a wild hair and decided to audition for NBC’s “Last Comic Standing”. The idea of going out for a stand-up comedy contest, did not thrill me initially. Hey, we had to make the best out of 70s Disco, now I’m trying to make the best out of the Reality TV era.

What I liked about LCS is that it is an opportunity to be on NBC Primetime every week doing jokes that I have written, as well as controlling what comes out of my mouth off stage. It’s hard to complain about a TV show script when you wrote it! Of course one can be edited to look good or bad, but what the heck. It’s only TV!

The show’s producers did a nationwide talent search (Los Angeles, Tempe, Austin, Chicago, New York, Miami). They also accepted video tapes. Of the thousands who tried out, a handful got moved to the Semi-Finals. Due to confidentiality agreements, that’s all I can say, for now. All these shenanigans will air this summer on NBC.
